Anguilla November/December
Question:
Anyone know how crowded Anguilla gets in late November/early December. We were there in March/April and it was gloriously empty. Rendezvous Bay was wonderful with <10 people on it but will it be more crowded in December? We are really trying to avoid the noise and disruption of holidaying children; this period includes Thanksgiving is that a big going abroad holiday for the US? Thanks in advance Charles

Since Thanksgiving is primarily an American holiday, it doesn’t cause a rush of people heading abroad to celebrate although flight s are crammed to the gills during that week. Don’t know if you have your tix yet but don’t worry if you do; noisy is a very relative term in AXA. A busy day on Shoal Bay East is a dead day anywhere else. Enjoy! http://beaches.ai

In the U.S., Thanksgiving is a traditional time for families to gather, so you’ll find people flying back and forth across the U.S. to be with their families. I’m sure there’s some additional travel to the Caribbean with children, but not at all as much, as say, over President’s Day toward the end of February or Easter school breaks. Or even Christmas, for that matter, because adults are likely to get several paid days off from work over Christmas and New Year’s and do not have to use so much vacation time. << Anyone know how crowded Anguilla gets in late November/early December. The holiday isn’t long enough for travel to the Caribbean. People get off from work mid-day Wednesday (students Tuesday afternoon) and have to be back to work on Monday. Some not until Tuesday. Because everybody travels on these same days they are the busiest of the year. Don <donwiss at panix.com>.
